Being booked for nine gigs during the last week of 2017 emphasises what a great year it’s been for Acoustic Element and ALT EGO. Jody and Callen share gratitude for the overwhelming support and major milestones achieved over the past 12 months.

This year will always be remembered as one of the most influential chapters in our musical careers. 2017 was a period of many firsts and highlight moments, which includes stepping into a new musical direction as ALT EGO, our first album and launch, our first music video for Get Wild, our first international gig in Sweden, followed by our first major international record deal, and then, not forgetting, our first acoustic album as Acoustic Element.
Being open to learning and exploring foreign cultures and music has really widened our vision. Having travelled to various destinations in Europe, we decided to play with different genres, different sounds, different elements to add to our performance. And we managed to create something magical… something we’re really proud of. And to our heart-warming surprise… something our local and international following enjoy!
So we were high spirits heading into our seventh Christmas as AE… which is a special time of year because its the holidays that launched our careers in music by chance (CLICK HERE TO READY HOW AND WHY)!
And it was a special Christmas as we got to spend the evening with our families for the first time since launching Acoustic Element to the world.
After playing a Christmas Eve gig at our second home the One and Only at the V&A Waterfront, we returned home to festive celebrations with all friends and loved ones. Working over every festive season since 2010 really makes you appreciate the time you can spend with your loved ones.
On Christmas Day, we were entertaining guest at Nobu before returning home again to pig out at all the Christmas lunch leftovers with the family! Cue the amazing gammon and trifle!

From the next day, we were back in the full swing of things, with multiple gigs going into the big New Years Eve party at the One and Only. We will be joined by Cosher, Janice, Kimmy K and more for one of the biggest parties in the Mother City on the night. It’s all about glitz and glam!
So come celebrate with us as we walk into 2018 with style!
Looking back to 2017, we have to thank each and every one of you for the support. All our fans and followers have made it a tremendous year. From voting us to the top of the radio charts to helping us trend on iTunes in our respective categories… we really felt the love!
We really appreciate all of you and look forward to reaching new heights in 2018!
