ALT EGO signed a major record deal this week which will see their hit single “Get Wild” officially enter the European market.

Whether it’s in the guise of Acoustic Element or ALT EGO, we’ve always appreciated the support from the audience at our gigs across the country. More notably, during our weekly performances at the One and Only Hotel at the V&A Waterfront, the reaction from international guests (including Justin Bieber and DJ Snake) has always inspired us to believe we could one day take our music to foreign shores.

That dream became a reality this week!

Earlier this week, we signed with CAT music in Romania, who are well-known as one of the top music companies in Eastern Europe, having worked with artists like Edward Maya, who made his mark with hit single “Stereo Love”.

CAT Music has over 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube, with over 3 billion views. They also have over a half million followers on their social media accounts.

Having them in our corner will offer major influence as we introduce ALT EGO to Europe.

We will be releasing the original version of “Get Wild” featuring Amy Tjasink. We will also be releasing a tropical house remix of the song, which was created by Zambian producer and DJ El Mukuka. In fact, it was his release that attracted serious interest from Europe, which we are very grateful for.

After the growth and success of ALT EGO in South Africa, we’re very excited to see how our music is received in Europe as their market consists of so many genres. Having recently holidayed in Croatia and Holland, we realised that anything unique and out of the ordinary seems to make a great impression. We’re hoping that the originality in our fusion of classical, house, dance and tech drops in our music will make the desired impact.

Our goal is to be heard and to let our international following know what we’re all about. The journey of ALT EGO has been a two-year process and we truly believe that there’s much more to come from it.

A special thanks to our new publisher John Fishlock who assisted in formalising the deal with CAT Music. We look forward to working with John and El in future.

And before we conclude the topic of Europe, there’s more great news around another exciting opportunity that we’ll announce next week.
