Celebrating another musical milestone, Acoustic Element will play their first official commercial production at Café Roux in Shortmarket Street, Cape Town on 27 June.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect ahead of this exciting opportunity.
With ALT EGO enjoying notable success in only its first few months and Acoustic Element continuing to grow as one of the most popular live acts in the country, it felt like the right time to make our debut at the Café Roux Live Sessions.
This show has become a popular one in the Mother City as it’s a stage that has given some of South Africa’s top music talent a chance to tell their story – acts like Jimmy Nevis, aKing, Arno Carstens, Jesse Clegg, Kahn Morbee, Jack Parow, Ard Matthews, Toya Delazy, Gangs of Ballet, Watershed, Matthew Mole and more. We are honoured to join this list of amazing local performers.
There’s plenty of excitement within the group as we’ve never played a commercial gig before. Whether it’s our regular show at the Vista Bar at the Only and Only Hotel, a corporate event or a private wedding, our shows have always been free to the audience. So we’re very keen to see how the night unfolds.
We have lined up something special for proceedings. For the first time in our careers, we will be playing both Acoustic Element and ALT EGO music in the same performance. Gigging as two personas in two different music genres has come with its challenges, but it’s something that has brought out the best of us as musicians, especially in terms of creativity and new sounds.
We will also tell the story behind the band and our music, giving you the chance to get to know us more intimately.
This will be our last major show before we leave on holiday to Europe, where we will be attending the Ultra Festival in Croatia.
So if you love our music, this good reason for you to pull in! Tickets are only R100 each.
